Еще пара цитат с тумблера - на тему endgame pairings и насчет Хэванса. Понравились.
In fact, one of the main themes of the endgame pairings is this idea of not being deemed suitable for each other and giving up say, status, popularity etc to be with the person you truly love.

Why does there seem to be this apparent inability to recognize those clearly significant things that will eventually be returned to? It’s like when you read a book and a character says something interesting or something odd happens that’s not quite explained right away. Just because it’s not mentioned for another fifteen chapters doesn’t been it’s disappeared from the story completely.
A character having a secret is pretty much a guarantee that something is going to happen with that character. Secret=eventual revelation. Simple as that.
